• Role: Director of Program Management Office (PMO)

• Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

• Split: 60% Enterprise Governance & Delivery / 40% Architecture & Team Leadership

The Opportunity

This is a rare, senior leadership opportunity to join a fast-growing aerospace startup at a pivotal growth stage and build our enterprise-wide program management function from the ground up. As Doroni Aerospace shapes the future of personal air mobility, you will establish a unified project management language, single-source-of-truth tooling, and stage-gate governance across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality/Compliance. Reporting directly to the COO, you will recruit, mentor, and lead dedicated Project Managers—transforming complex, multi-disciplinary efforts into transparent, predictable roadmaps that drive organizational velocity while maintaining alignment with upcoming quality and audit standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, SOC 2).

Key Responsibilities

• PMO Architecture, Strategy & Enterprise Tooling (30%): Define, roll out, and enforce a standardized hybrid program management methodology (Stage-Gate, Agile, Waterfall). Lead the evaluation, selection, and company-wide rollout of a centralized enterprise PPM software stack, designing real-time C-suite executive dashboards and stage-gate review controls.

• Enterprise Program Governance & Cross-Functional Delivery (30%): Serve as the ultimate accountability point for all major enterprise initiatives, including aircraft development milestones, prototype build schedules, supply chain scaling, and facility expansions. Mitigate critical-path risks and align change controls with engineering and financial expenditure policies.

• Team Building & Talent Leadership (25%): Build and execute the hiring roadmap for dedicated Project Managers. Establish KPI baselines, career pathways, capacity planning models, and continuous training to foster a culture of accountability and precision.

• Executive Alignment & C-Suite Reporting (15%): Deliver transparent portfolio health reports, risk escalations, and strategic trade-off analysis directly to the CEO, COO, CFO, and Chief Engineer.
