Doroni Aerospace announced on June 13 that it had successfully completed more than 50 test flights of its H1 eVTOL aircraft. The test flights occurred at the company’s facility in Pompano Beach, Florida. Then, in a video posted to social media on July 12, Doroni revealed that it had completed its first manned flight test in its H1 prototype, claiming that it was the first-ever “crewed flight of a two-seat eVTOL” in the US. The flight occurred on July 3 and was piloted by Founder and CEO Doron Merdinger. The production version of the H1 is expected to have a cruise speed of 100 mph (161 km/h) and flight time of 40 minutes, according to the VFS World eVTOL Aircraft Directory.
